Work among the homeless. 

Our homelessness outreach worker for Bournemouth seeks to support the work done by a variety of churches across the town in providing practical support to the homeless and vulnerable. 

Chris Milton attends the church-led soup runs and drop-ins in order to come alongside those who go along and use his understanding of local services to help them access the support they need - including housing, health care, benefits advice etc.  At times he also acts as an advocate for them, helps them with form-filling or accompanies them to official appointments.

This post is funded by Bournemouth Council's Supporting People team, at least until 2009.
